what a silly word.

 

we toy with never,

living in foolhardiness

as if we were eternal.

 

we tell ourselves,

we're saving the special things

for the right moment.

 

but when is the right moment?

 

who are we to judge, to decide

if we live another day?

 

who are we to judge, to decide

if someone else lives another day?

 

we aren't.

we aren't the ones to judge,

to decide.

 

and if we saved those special things,

telling ourselves the right moment will come,

telling ourselves the impossible will never happen ...

 

how would we feel

when the right moment passed us by.

 

when the impossible, the never

happened.

 

we would say,

we never saw this coming.

 

but did we?

 

because when never becomes forever,

we will only have ourselves to blame.
